Our 100% Cashmere Slouchy Beanie, from the Newport Collection™ reflects our designer's desire to incorporate the most luxurious and supple fabric with a classic and refined design.
Wrap yourself in the warmth that only our cashmere can provide. Our cashmere is made from grade A, de-haired, 2-ply yarn. Our super soft slouchy beanie is our most stylish hat. Fitted around the crown of your head, this style has a longer length than the rest of our hats, giving you that “slouch”, laid back look at the back.
DESCRIPTION
Our most stylish hat. The Fishers Finery Men's Slouchy Cashmere Beanie, from our Newport Collection™, is knit from 100% pure Grade A cashmere, de-haired and spun into a 2-ply yarn. It fits around the crown with extra length at the back for a relaxed, laid-back look. One size fits most.
Certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (certificate BJ020 226894, TESTEX) and SFA certified by the Sustainable Fibre Alliance for responsible sourcing. Hand wash in cool water or dry clean, and lay flat to dry. Imported.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Hand washTurn inside out and soak for two hours in cool water with a wool and cashmere wash or baby shampoo. Don't rub or twist.
- Rinse and pressRinse in cool water, then gently squeeze and roll in a towel. Never wring.
- Dry flatLay flat on a dry towel away from heat and reshape while damp. Or dry clean.
Skip: Bleach, the washing machine, the dryer and hangers.
Tip: Gentle hand washing softens cashmere over time. Fold it to store, in a breathable cotton bag with cedar.
QUESTIONS
Is this 100% cashmere?
Yes. Fishers Finery cashmere is 100% pure cashmere, Grade A, de-haired and spun into a 2-ply yarn, with no wool or synthetic blends.
What does Grade A cashmere mean?
Grade A is the top grade of cashmere fiber. It uses the longest, finest fibers, which spin into a softer yarn that holds up better and pills less than lower grades.
What do de-haired and 2-ply mean?
De-haired means the coarse outer guard hairs are removed, leaving only the soft undercoat, so the cashmere isn't scratchy. 2-ply means two strands are twisted together into each yarn, for more warmth and durability.
Will it pill?
Our cashmere is pill resistant. A few small pills can form where any cashmere rubs, and they lift off easily with a cashmere comb.
How do I wash cashmere?
Hand wash in cool water with a wool and cashmere wash, soak for two hours, press out the water without wringing and lay flat to dry. Or dry clean. Never use the dryer. Our cashmere care guide walks through each step.
Is your cashmere responsibly sourced and tested?
Yes. It is SFA certified by the Sustainable Fibre Alliance, whose standard covers animal welfare, herder livelihoods and grassland health, and tested to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (certificate BJ020 226894, TESTEX).
What size are the hats and gloves?
Our cashmere hats and gloves are one size fits most. Women's gloves are sized for women's finger length and have an extended cuff.
