What is the Sustainable Fibre Alliance?

The Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) is a non-profit organization that sets standards for responsible cashmere, from the herders who raise the goats to the processors who clean the fiber. Fishers Finery is an SFA member. Read why we joined.

What does SFA certified cashmere mean?

SFA certified cashmere comes from herders who follow the SFA standard for grassland health, animal welfare and herder livelihoods, and from processors who follow the SFA Clean Fibre Processing Standard.

Is everything in this collection SFA certified?

Yes. Every piece in this collection is SFA certified and tested to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. Style numbers are listed on our certifications page.

Is your cashmere 100% pure?

Yes. Every piece is 100% pure Grade A cashmere, de-haired and knit from two-ply yarn, with no blends or fillers.

Does it come gift boxed?

Our cashmere sets, scarves and shawls labeled "with Gift Box" arrive in a keepsake Black Label™ gift box.

How do I care for cashmere?

Hand wash in cool water or dry clean, then lay flat to dry. Never use the dryer or hang it. See our cashmere care guide for step-by-step instructions.
