Why it's personal
A partnership that started at home.
Depression is personal for our cofounder and COO, Craig Barnell. It is also far more common than most people realize: the World Health Organization calls it a leading cause of disability worldwide (opens in a new tab).
Treatment has changed surprisingly little in decades. The Hope for Depression Research Foundation exists to change that, and we are proud to help fund its work.

Why HDRF exists
Founded in memory of Hope.

What is the Hope for Depression Research Foundation?
HDRF funds neuroscience research into the origins, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of depression and related mood disorders. It was founded by Audrey Gruss in memory of her mother, Hope.
Is the HDRF pillowcase organic?
Yes. It is made from 100% organic, Grade 6A long strand mulberry silk, 25 momme on both sides, and is GOTS certified organic (Control Union, certificate ITS-X10250-GOTS-00054901). We leave it in its natural white, so it is never dyed. See our certifications.
What sizes does it come in?
Standard (20" x 28", also fits queen pillows 20" x 30") and king (20" x 36"). Every pillowcase has a side entry envelope closure with no zippers and comes with a mesh wash bag.
How do I wash a silk pillowcase?
Hand wash, or machine wash on a delicate cycle in cold water inside the included mesh bag, then air dry. See our silk care guide.
